I’m still working on the experiments and collecting data. So far the most interesting thing has been learning about how cells can dramatically change their shape and that they can kind of crawl along all kinds of surfaces.

My research is only small studies. Possibly the most interesting thing I’ve found is that hearing the strain on muscles when gripping the ultrasound probe too hard can help teaching people how to reduce their grip and improve their practice.

I studied a rotating cloud of dust and gas (inside it stars are being born) and was able to explain why the gas was rotating, by comparing the observations to simulations. 🙂

I think finding out facts that you didn’t expect is always thrilling!

Learn about the research I did at university here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXbtawA6xPs

I also did science communication research into children’s interests/aspirations for science – the most unexpected thing then was how the different groups of children reacted to the science demonstrations!
