The crab nebula (Chinese supernova) possibly the clearest thing we saw in Chile. We also saw Andromeda (I can’t even type this without doing a Brian Cox impression 😂), beetle juice, Uranus and prism and terrantula nebula.

The milky way was amazing without a telescope. If you get a dark sky it is really something special.

I have only ever looked through a telescope once in my life ! I think it was seeing Jupiter and the moons moving around it. I knew what it should look like from books, but seeing it in real life was amazing.

Stuart! You need to go do more observing! Here’s some stargazing events happening in London. 😉 http://flamsteed.info/events/
Saturn is the best thing to see in my opinion (the rings are incredible!), took my breath away when I first saw it.
