Yes, I did that when I was a student back at university in Scotland. There’s also a really great programme called The Brilliant Club, where PhD students go into local schools to teach a short course on their subject. I’ve been meaning to take part it!

Yes, I spent a month working in a school helping with the GCSE science classes. I’ve also visited schools to talk about my research. If I became a teacher full time, I think I would teach physics, rather than just about my research, because there’s lots of variety of things to learn about.

YesI love speaking to children about science! I do it all the time when I’m doing events with Science Grrl – and I’m going back to my old secondary school to speak to students there.
