I genuinely just enjoyed it! It was the most interesting to me so I really fancied studying it further. I knew STEM could give me a good job in the future, but I didn’t think about what specific job I wanted. I believe if you just study what you enjoy, the job will fall into place later on 🙂

And by the way, when I said I enjoyed science, my classes at school weren’t actually that great. To fuel my interest I read popular science books and watched science documentaries. I’d also recommend listening to podcasts to expose yourself to lots of different types of science to see what you really enjoy. My favourite podcasts include The Life Scientific (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b015sqc7/episodes/player) and The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07012sf/episodes/downloads).

I’d also recommend looking up science courses on university websites and reading about some of the courses available – that’s how I found out that I wanted to study neuroscience! I had no idea that the word even existed before then…

I was so fascinated by astronomy that I wanted to study science so that I could learn and understand more about the universe.

Having always enjoyed science & having a passion for health care led to me radiography, which is a good balance of communication, care and technology.

I really enjoyed science lessons at school. My teachers were really good at making science interesting, and I liked the idea that science can help the world.
