Good question.
I tend to work with ultrasound, which is generally less dangerous than many other frequencies.
Gamma rays have a very short wavelength (so have high frequency), which makes them more likely to cause harm. X-rays can be harmful, so we take precautions when working with radiation.
Gamma rays are used to treat cancer, using a cyberknife. I was lucky enough to get to see this in action recently. There’s a video of one in action here:
