When we see the Moon in the day it’s because the Sun is shining on it, and the light is reflecting off of the Moon. As long as the Moon isn’t hidden behind the Earth (which is called a lunar eclipse) it’s possible to see the Moon during the day.

It helps that at certain times the sun light reflecting off the moon is so bright it has enough contrast with the rest of the sky. It’s hard for humans to pick out something that’s very dim in the sky. I was reading around, and apparently other bright planets can sometimes be seen using a telescope during the day.
